Coastal Union (Tanzania)

Founded in 1948, Coastal Union Sports Club is one of Tanzania’s oldest and most prestigious football clubs.

Crowned Champions of Tanzania in 1988, Coastal Union are currently placed in the upper reaches of the Vodacom Premier League and keeping pace with Tanzania’s most recognisable clubs – Simba, Yanga and Azam FC. Tanzania’s Premier League is growing in stature and now has sponsorships worth Tshs 3.3bn (just over US $2m) per year from title sponsors Vodacom and TV rights holder Azam Media.

As a sports club owned by its members, Costal Union is a club at the very heart of the Tanga community and we are honored to have them on board as the first Sandlanders member club playing in a national Premier League.
